ASUS Cloud participated in the 2025 Defense AI Application Innovation Competition and Forum, organized by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology. Centered on the theme of “Homeland Security and Cybersecurity Protection,” ASUS Cloud proposed an innovative solution and ultimately stood out among numerous participating teams, earning the Creativity Award. This recognition not only highlights ASUS Cloud’s technological strength in integrating data security and AI applications, but also demonstrates its expertise and commitment to supporting digital transformation and cybersecurity resilience in the defense sector.
As AI is rapidly being adopted across various defense and security scenarios, data has become a critical strategic asset. However, as large volumes of data are used for AI training and inference, ensuring trusted data sources, controlled access, and traceable activities has become a key challenge that defense organizations must address when developing AI applications. In this competition, ASUS Cloud proposed an innovative approach centered on its self-developed zero-trust file management platform, OmniStor, introducing a concept of building a defense data security framework based on a Zero Trust architecture.
OmniStor establishes a data-centric security governance model through identity authentication, least-privilege access control, and end-to-end audit tracking. Even in scenarios involving cross-agency collaboration or multi-system integration, sensitive data can remain under strict control throughout the processes of access, exchange, and usage, effectively reducing the risks of unauthorized access or data leakage. Such an architecture not only enhances the security level of defense data, but also creates a trusted data environment for AI model training.
In addition, the data governance capabilities built into OmniStor ensure that every data operation is fully recorded and auditable, forming a clear chain of data accountability. For the defense sector, this not only strengthens cybersecurity protection, but also enhances the credibility of data used in mission-critical operations and decision-making scenarios, laying a solid foundation for the adoption of AI applications.
ASUS Cloud stated that it will continue to deepen the integration of AI and data security technologies in the future, while working closely with industry, government, and academia to advance higher standards of defense cybersecurity protection and data governance. Through these efforts, ASUS Cloud aims to inject new momentum into the development of national digital security and smart defense.
